The Carbonnot Education & Ambassador Program is a multi-year, university-supported, program to develop K-12 education and curriculum for students across Texas and Louisiana. Our goal is to provide useful scientific information about carbon capture and storage and concepts to help mitigate (e.g., decrease) greenhouse gas in our atmosphere.
If you would like to become a Carbonnot Educator & Ambassador, please fill out this form here or please contact Angela Luciano (angela.kim.luciano@utexas.edu) if you have any questions.
Join us at CAST25 in November 2025
As part of the State Geologic Survey of Texas, come visit the Bureau of Economic Geology’s booth at the Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching (CAST) held between November 13–15, 2024 in Dallas, TX. The Bureau, along with two teachers who are part of the Carbon-not Education & Ambassador Program, will showcase our recent educational resources, curriculum, and materials to help explain carbon capture and storage (CCS) topics appropriate for K-12 students. To help our future generations, we look forward to providing you with the appropriate training, materials, and support for your classroom success.
